WIN YOUR CHILD A PLACE TO LEARN TO SAIL OR SWIM
Thursday 17th June 2010

The purpose of the National Sailing Academy is to ensure every child in Antigua has the opportunity to learn to swim and sail as part of the national curriculum.

For many years, Antiguan sailors have tended to be those either from privileged homes, or lucky enough to live in the English Harbour area and bought up surrounded by yachting and the yachting industry.

The main job of the academy is now to inspire the nations youths to WANT to get involved. To that end, they have created a fantastic video which through interviewing current and past participants in the Youth Sailing Programmes establishes just how huge the potential is for yachting to become a major employer of Antiguan youths in the future. If you want to get your children involved, please watch the video and encourage them to do so.

To really make a difference we have an intensive sail training course and an intensive swimming course available during the summer holidays – they are both one week long.

All you will need to do is check into our Facebook Page from Monday 21st June for the chance to win your child a place on one of these two great courses and potentially a future career.
