ABOUT US

GET INSPIRED!

Antiguanice.com is owned by husband and wife team Colin Adams & Alison Sly-Adams. They bought the business on September 1st 2003, and have grown the business from a small but effective online guide, into the premier guide for Antigua and Barbuda that it is today.

Today's strap line 'Get Inspired' works not only for promoting the brand to visitors to our island, but to residents, and within the business, where every day presents a new challenge.

Colin Adams was born in the U.K. to Antiguan parents and lived and worked in London. He worked for many commercial and investment banks in the City, before moving into business and systems analysis. Returning back to the U.K. after yet another Antiguan holiday, the decision to move to Antigua was finally made. His business experience has given him a healthy appetite for problem solving with rarely a stone left unturned when an issue needs dealing with. Its given him the perfect skills to deal with the array of issues that get thrown at him every day in his role as Systems Administrator and content manager for Antiguanice.com and over 100 websites the business manages.

Alison Sly-Adams started and ended work life in the U.K. in the retail industry within the merchandising function for a number of blue chip retail companies such as the Burton Group (now Arcadia and owner of brands such as Top Shop, Dorothy Perkins, Evans and Burton Menswear), Mother care and Principles. Working with buyers, designers, marketeers and accountants, any one who has worked in this industry knows the challenges of reducing margins, over saturated markets,  and a reduction in consumer spending power. Life doesn't change does it? Alison is now a board director for the Antigua Hotels and Tourist Association, the board secretary of Crime Stoppers Antigua, on the board of the Antigua and Barbuda Sport Fishing Association and part of the management team of Antigua Sailing Week.
