REGATTA, OPEN DAY & DOCK PARTY WRAP Tuesday 3rd December 2019
"Sunday 1st December blessed us with gorgeous weather and excellent sailing conditions for our Regatta.
In all, 32 sailors took part in RS Zests and RS Feva's - all were young people between 10 and 17 years old. This shows a great future for our sport.
At the end of racing, which was the first Regatta run by Joshua Daniels (who recently completed a Race Management Course) and is our Deputy Sailing Manager, we were delighted that so many friends and families turned up to support the event. The Dock Party went on until sunset and was enjoyed by all.
The winners in the Zest Class were:
1st - Deshante Durand
2nd - Kywain Graham
3rd - Jahvorn Hector
The Winners in the Feva Class (2 handed) were:
1st: Diego Ewinger & Patrick Greensmith.
2nd - Shanoyimon Malone & Craig Simon.
3rd - Jody Thomas & Joshua Anglin.
Our Thanks to all competitors who took part as well as our staff and volunteers.
We are already planning our next event which will mark the 10th Anniversary of the formation of the National Sailing Academy in February 2010.
