OPTIMISTS NORTH AMERICAN CHAMPIONSHIPS 2015 Tuesday 16th December 2014
The planning for the Optimists North American Championships to be held in Antigua in July next year is progressing, albeit, slowly. It often seems like one step forward and two backward. The latest setback is the availability of RIBs.
The Optimists require ten 4.2 metre (14 foot) RIBs, preferably with consoles. Outdoor World have 3 suitable RIBs which they are willing to have used for the event. We can import some but it is costly and it would be much more beneficial if we could find RIBs on the island.
If anyone has or knows of anyone who has a RIB of that required size or larger, please let us know.
Also, we are also looking for volunteers to work with the Antigua Yacht Club to organise the event.
