NOTICE OF RACE

2026 BUDGET MARINE

23rd ILCA and 8th Optimist Open Regatta

Antigua Yacht Club

1. ORGANIZING AUTHORITY

The organizing authority for the 2026 ILCA and Optimist Open Regatta is Antigua Yacht Club in conjunction with Antigua and Barbuda sailing association.

1. RULES

The regatta will be governed by:

– The Racing Rules of Sailing (RRS) 2025-2028

– The ILCA Class Rules

– The Optimist Class Rules

– This Notice of Race (NoR)

– The Sailing Instructions (SIs)

1. ELIGIBILITY

3.1 The regatta is open to all ILCA (ILCA 4, ILCA 6, ILCA 7) and Optimist sailors who meet the requirements set forth by their respective class associations.

3.2 AYC members we have a limited amount of Lasers available, if you would like to participate you must pay entry to reserve your Laser , it will be standard Laser equipment

3.3 limited number of boats to charter : ILCA $150 boat is supplied with hull and spars, sailor are should bring three own blades ,sails ,line ,tillers and extension . Optimist $100 hull only sailors should bring spars, bailers ,airbags ,ties blades and mainsheet.

1. ENTRY

4.1 Entries shall be made online or in person at by the 14th March 2026.

4.2 The early entry fee for the ILCA class is $85 and for the Optimist class is $75 by 14th March.Late entries may be accepted with an additional fee of $105 for ILCA and $95 for Optimist.prices are in USD.

1. SCHEDULE

Registration: Friday 20th @ 10am-4pm

Competitor Briefing:Satuday 21@8am

Races: 8 races scheduled on Saturday 21th , 4 races on Sunday 22nd. There will be no start after 12pm

Awards Ceremony: 22nd @13:00

1. SAILING INSTRUCTIONS

Sailing Instructions will be available at registration and on the event website .

1. VENUE

The regatta will be held at Antigua Yacht Club . The racing area will be located Falmouth Harbor .

1. SCORING

8.1 Scoring will be in accordance with RRS Appendix A. One race is required to be completed to constitute a championship.

8.2 Each competitors score shall be : When five(5) or more races have been completed,the total score will be calculated excluding the worst scoring race.

1. PRIZES

Prizes will be awarded to 1st, 2nd, 3rd overall , 1st in ILCA 6 and 1st in ILCA 4.7 as well as special awards for top female .and 1st, 2nd, 3rd Green Fleet .The National Championship winners most be a Citizens or Permanent resident of Antigua And Barbuda in the ILCA 7 class and Optimist Advance class.
