1. RULES
1.1 The regatta will be governed by the rules as defined in The Racing Rules of Sailing.
1.2 No national authority prescriptions will apply.
2. ELIGIBILITY AND ENTRY
One Sailor 16 years of age and over on date of regatta.
One Sailor under 16 years of age on date of regatta .
Competitors are required to register their entry with the Antigua Yacht Club no later than Monday 21st November 2011.
Entry forms are available online at www.antiguayachtclub.com.
3. CLASSES AND FEES

3.1. Pairs Class – One Sailor 16 years of age and over & one sailor under 16 years of age on date of regatta.
Note: There must be a minimum of 5 years age difference between the two competitors.
3.2. Junior Classes – singled-handed – Class A: one sailor under 16 years of age.
Class B: one sailor under 13 years of age.
The entry fee is US$75 for adults (16 & over) and U$25 for juniors. This fee will include all racing, two breakfasts, refreshments on the water, two lunches and one dinner (Sat) for each competitor. Coaches and chaperones US$50 for the above meals during the regatta. A damage deposit of US$100.00 will be required from each team and will be refunded at the end of the regatta.
4 SCHEDULE OF EVENTS
4.1 Final Registration will be on Friday 25th November 2011 at the Antigua Yacht Club.
4.2 Dates of racing: Saturday 26th November 2011 & Sunday 27th November 2011
Breakfast – 7:30 am
Skipper’s Briefing – 8:00 am
First Race will not start before 9:00 am
Racing will be scheduled as follows:
Saturday morning – Pairs Class – 3 races
Saturday afternoon – Junior Classes – 5 races
Sunday morning - Pairs Class – 3 races
The last race will not start after 11:30 am
Prizegiving will be at 1:00 pm.
5. EQUIPMENT
Laser Pico’s - 12 are available – provided by host country.
6. SAILING INSTRUCTIONS
The sailing instructions will be available at final registration on Friday 25th November 2011
7. VENUE
7.1 Antigua Yacht Club
7.2 Race Area is Falmouth Harbour.
8. THE COURSES
The courses to be sailed will be triangle or windward/leeward.
9. PENALTY SYSTEMS
9.1 Rule 44.1 and 44.2 are changed so that only one turn, including one
tack and one gibe, is required.
9.2 Decisions of the [protest committee] [jury] will be final as provided in rule 70.4.
10. SCORING
10.1 The Low Point System of Appendix A will apply.
10.2 (a) Six races are planned for the pairs class with one discard allowed.
(b) Five races are planned for the Junior Classes with one discard allowed.
11. PRIZES
Prizes will be given as follows: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in each class
12. DISCLAIMER OF LIABILITY
Competitors participate in the regatta entirely at their own risk. See rule 4, Decision to Race.
The organizing authority will not accept any liability for material damage or personal injury or death sustained in conjunction with or prior to, during, or after the regatta.
