ANTIGUAN YOUTHS REGISTER SUCCESS AT CHIEF MINISTER'S CUP Monday 25th July 2011
On the weekend of July 9-10, 2011, Antigua Yacht Club was proud to send a team of six youths, aged 12 to 18 to the Chief Minister's Cup Regatta in Tortola. The youths had been selected for the team based on their sailing skills and enthusiasm for the sport. The team had no previous competition experience and had never been away to a regatta.
The team completed a total of 18 races in varying conditions over the course of the weekend and had several 2nd and 3rd place finishes. When all the results had been tabulated, they were very proud to bring home to Antigua a 6th place finish overall.

The Regatta organisers sent a note to the Antigua Yacht Club after the return of the team to Antigua saying: 'They represented Antigua very well and we were all impressed by them.'
Congratulations to Team Antigua on its successes and we look forward to their future representation of Antigua Yacht Club in local and international regattas.
