ANTIGUA YACHT CLUB

The Antigua Yacht Club is delighted to invite all sailors and members of the yachting community to participate in the highly anticipated Commodore’s Cup Race on Saturday, 26th July 2025.

This year’s event promises excitement both on and off the water, with Commodore Clarence Pilgrim serving as Officer of the Day (OOD). In a special tribute to one of our club’s distinguished leaders, a new course mark, “FB,” has been introduced in honor of Past Commodore Franklyn Braitwaite. This mark will be positioned between Start/Finish (SF) and Admiral Bailey (AB), east of the shallows, and must be respected to port to ensure safety and an enhanced racing experience.

There will be two thrilling races:

• Race 1 will begin at 1500 hours, following the standard 3-minute start sequence by sound, flags, and VHF communication.
• Race 2 will follow shortly thereafter.

All competitors are reminded to tune their VHFs to Channel 12 and check in with the Race Committee prior to the start.
Following the races, participants and spectators are invited to the Commodore’s Bar, which will be open and hosted by Zoe — the perfect setting to unwind, celebrate, and share the day’s racing stories.
