NOTICE OF RACE
7th BUDGET MARINE ANTIGUA Optimist OPEN
Saturday 22nd & Sunday 23rd March, 2025
The Antigua Yacht Club is hosting the 7th Antigua Optimist Open.
RULES: Racing will be governed by the 2025-2028 World Sailing Racing Rules, the Optimist Class Rules, the prescription of the race committee and by the sailing instructions.

The Entry Fee includes lunch on Saturday.
Early Bird Entry Fee - US$50/EC$135.00
Early Bird Payment should be submitted by 4pm Wednesday 12th March 2025
The Entry Fee is - US$70/EC$190.00
Payment should be submitted by 4pm Wednesday 19th March 2025
Members: We have a limited amount of Optimist available, if you would like to participate, please hand in your entry form with entry fee to reserve your Optimist.
EQUIPMENT: Non-members are asked to bring their own Optimist or they can charter a boat for US$80/EC$216 in addition to the entry fee. A damage deposit of US$100/EC$270 (cash/check) is required to charter the boat.
If one has a preference in equipment, you are more than welcome to bring your own.
COURSE & NO. OF RACES: The races will be sailed in Falmouth Harbour and will be a Trapezoid or Windward/Leeward. There will be a maximum of 12 races with one discard.
PRIZES & SCORING: The National championship will be awarded top Antiguan in the red fleet . Overall prize of 1st, 2nd and 3rd places. And 1st ,2nd ànd 3rd in green fleet if more than 4 boat participate if less than 4 only 1st place . scoring will be in accordance with Appendix A.
