VACANCIES AT BLUE WATER SPA AND RESORT Tuesday 4th April 2023

Applicant must be a detail oriented, self-starting individual with a friendly and approachable personality. Must be pro-active and punctual. Focused, flexible and structured approach to the job is required. Previous resort experience will be an asset. Primary specific qualifications by position are:
HUMAN RESOURCES & ADMIN ASSISTANT
- Assist the HR Manager with all human resource related matters including but not limited to recruitment and selection, training and development, employee rewards and recognition maintaining and updating staff records and filing; attendance records; incident reports, insurance and training records.
- Compile, maintain and follow up on all Health & Safety records and inspections.
- Provide administrative support to the General Manager and Managers.
- Must be a responsible, honest and very confidential individual.
- Demonstrated office administration and organisational skills.
RESORT HOST / CONCIERGE
- Have excellent English language skills, fluency in one or more additional languages apart from English will be an asset but is not a requirement.
- Have excellent customer relations skills with a positive, outgoing personality.
- Have a sound working knowledge of Resort Front Office practices and computer literate. Office administration skills will be an asset.
- Must possess intimate knowledge of resort amenities and offerings, island excursions and leisure activities.
- Must be humble, polite and professional
- Willing to listen and to learn
- Must be responsible and honest
- Be well organized, detail oriented and the ability to work flexible hours, unsupervised.
- Have the ability to lead, motivate and work as a team member.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Checking in / checking out guests
- Replying to emails professionally
- Answering internal and external calls
- Cashiering
- Making and amending reservations in the PMS
- Assisting guests with all queries
MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN - ROOMS
- Assist in the planning, assigning, inspecting of maintenance, repair and construction activities.
- Create and maintain records and files; prepare reports.
- Assist in coordinating work orders with other departments and follow up to completion stage.
- Create and document all installed equipment, including new installation: make, model, serial number, type of fuel, necessary test measurements, and pictures as necessary.
- Create and maintain a planned preventive maintenance programme.
- Coordination of maintenance and inspections schedules.
- Coordination of orders for replacement parts well.
- Have a demonstrated understanding of interior and exterior preventive maintenance and repairs such as mechanical, electrical, and plumbing.
