THE LATEST FROM TEAM ANTIGUA FOR TWAC17
Thursday 2nd March 2017

With less than 300 days to go before the start of the 2017 Talisker Whisky Atlantic Challenge, Team Antigua continue training and seeking sponsors, and have had some new and exciting developments recently in their campaign.

Firstly, a new contract with an anonymous sponsor has funded the team’s boat, under the condition that either the boat or funds needed to buy another boat are passed on to the next Antigua and Barbuda team to follow. Great news for future teams hoping to represent Antigua and Barbuda as their cost to enter is now significantly lower.

With that, the team is selling Wa’Omoni, the record breaking rowing boat Team Wadadli rowed home in the 2015-16 Talisker Whisky Atlantic Challenge. Team Antigua will continue training toward the challenge in another boat modified to better suit the team.

Team Antigua is currently at 12% of their fundraising goal of EC$594,000, having raised EC$74,102 so far through generous sponsors and donors. Click here to donate to get them to the start line.

Stay up to date with them and their journey on their Facebook Page.
