WORLD'S TOUGHEST ROW PROGRESS: TEAM LIGHTSHIP MISSION Monday 6th January 2025
On December 11, 2024, the World's Toughest Row commenced, featuring 38 teams undertaking a 3,000-mile journey from San Sebastián de La Gomera in the Canary Islands to Nelson's Dockyard in Antigua. Among these formidable participants is Team Lightship, a duo representing both the United Kingdom and Antigua.
Comprising Nia Baylis and Pammie Tyson, Team Lightship embodies a unique blend of British and Antiguan heritage. Their mission extends beyond the physical challenge; they aim to raise awareness and funds for several charitable organizations, including Kidney Wales, the Elkhorn Marine Conservancy, and the Antigua & Barbuda Ocean Trust.
As of January 7, 2025, Team Lightship has achieved significant milestones in their transatlantic endeavor. They recently celebrated rowing 1,000 miles, a testament to their determination and resilience.
