WORLD'S TOUGHEST ROW PROGRESS: TEAM LIGHTSHIP MISSION
Monday 6th January 2025

On December 11, 2024, the World's Toughest Row commenced, featuring 38 teams undertaking a 3,000-mile journey from San Sebastián de La Gomera in the Canary Islands to Nelson's Dockyard in Antigua. Among these formidable participants is Team Lightship, a duo representing both the United Kingdom and Antigua.

Comprising Nia Baylis and Pammie Tyson, Team Lightship embodies a unique blend of British and Antiguan heritage. Their mission extends beyond the physical challenge; they aim to raise awareness and funds for several charitable organizations, including Kidney Wales, the Elkhorn Marine Conservancy, and the Antigua & Barbuda Ocean Trust.

As of January 7, 2025, Team Lightship has achieved significant milestones in their transatlantic endeavor. They recently celebrated rowing 1,000 miles, a testament to their determination and resilience. This achievement was shared with their supporters through social media platforms, highlighting their unwavering commitment to the cause.

The team's participation in the World's Toughest Row is driven by a commitment to support and raise awareness for their chosen charities. Through their JustGiving page, they have been collecting donations to further the mission of Kidney Wales and raising awareness for the Elkhorn Marine Conservancy of Martha and Mill Reef and the Antigua & Barbuda Ocean Trust of Julie Esty, reflecting their dedication to making a positive impact beyond the race.

Supporters and enthusiasts can monitor Team Lightship's real-time progress through the official race tracking platform. This feature provides live updates on their position, distance covered, and estimated arrival time in Antigua, offering an immersive experience for those following their journey.

Team Lightship's currently sits in the 29th in All Boats, 7th in Pair and 5th in Women's class, while Row4Cancer sits in 1st for All Boats, Four and Men's Class.
