UNDEFEATED SWIMMER RETURNS FOR AUA ROHRMAN TRAIL & SWIM FEST
Monday 19th January 2026
He’s back — and he’s still unbeaten.
French swimming & triathlon legend Benjamin “Benji” Sanson returns to Antigua for the AUA Rohrman Trail & Swim Fest to race the 4K Open Water Swim and defend his title.
Sanson has been undefeated in Antigua swim events since his first appearance in 2012, and his pool speed in his prime was world-class:
200m Freestyle: 1:49
400m Freestyle: 3:47
800m Freestyle: 7:51
1500m Freestyle: 15:00
Now turning 55 years old this year, he doesn’t hit those top speeds anymore — but he continues to prove a formidable open-water competitor, and he’s coming to Antigua to show it again.
If you’ve ever wanted to test yourself against a true benchmark in open water… this is your moment.
Not just swim — elite runners are coming too
Rohrman is shaping up to be a true battle on land as well, with top contenders confirmed for the 25k trail, including:
Kemar Leslie (Jamaica) — Reggae Marathon champion and one of the Caribbean’s most feared distance runners
Michael Honore (Trinidad & Tobago) — Trinidad's trail king
Kamar Thomas (Antigua & Barbuda) — Antigua’s top road & trail runner, 3rd overall in the 2025 25K, leading the home charge
Whether you’re chasing a podium or chasing a finish line, there’s an event for you — from the swims to the trails to the triathlons.
