The Rohrman Sports Association is a non-profit entity that annually hosts the AUA Rohrman Triathlon and other sporting events. The Rohrman is an annual triathlon festival which features an Olympic distance triathlon comprising of 1,500 m swim, 40km bike, and 10km run. The festival involves 10 triathlons including a sprint distance, mini distance, relay and individual races and age group races beginning from as young as 6 & under.
The Olympic distance focused Rohrman emerged from the Tinman which began in 2012 as a longer half-iron distance triathlon held in memory of one of the late founders Jonathan Rohr. After five years of hosting the half-iron distance race, the Tinman was replaced by the Olympic distance Rohrman in 2017. The Rohrman derives its name from the late Jonathan Rohr in whose honour the event is held.
The Rohrman Sports Association spearheaded by Rory Butler, Andre Simon, and Dr. Kim Mallin aims to advance the development of sports tourism in Antigua & Barbuda, promote elite athlete development through high-level competition, and encourage healthy living through popular participation in sport.
