Windy Ridge is a wonderful two bedroom beautiful Caribbean style house set high on a ridge with panoramic views of the sea on three sides set in a National Park. To the East one can observe all the ever-changing view of the popular Falmouth Harbour as some of the largest and most beautiful yachts in the world come and go. To the south, Guadeloupe can be seen in the distance and to the west, the volcano of Montserrat stands tall and an uninhabited stretch of wild Atlantic coastline.
Due to its hill-top position, Windy Ridge enjoys cool breezes and the house is open and airy and at one with nature.
The house is set in one acre of gently sloping land which has been landscaped to include a large driveway, winding pathways and gardens of tropical flowers. An entrance gate and thick flowering hedgerows provide privacy. There are neighboring houses but due to the sloping land each has its own space.
On the first floor there is a living room, office with sleeping area (double size), a kitchen, master bedroom (queen size bed and with A/C) and bathroom. There is a large deck to the west with a dining table and sitting area including a wonderful full-length swing seat.
On the lower level there is a second bedroom (queen size) with bathroom. There is a lovely patio outside the bedroom with spectacular views. There is also a separate laundry / utility room on this lower level.
The house is beautifully decorated but simple, designed for people who love the outdoors. There is access to coastal walks to the wild unspoilt stretch of beach at Rendezvous Bay, a zillion stars and the sound of tree frogs to serenade you at night.
Pigeon Beach, a good Supermarket, restaurants, bars and all that the harbour has to offer is a short drive away. There is horse-riding nearby and sailing opportunities through the Antigua Yacht Club.
Windy Ridge is a magical place to live and can be rented for $2,750 USD per month which includes all utilities inclusive of internet (monthly limit on electricity and water) and a weekly cleaning service and gardener.
