The 15th Annual Antigua and Barbuda Hamptons Challenge Regatta in Sag Harbor saw Lee Oldak and his crew aboard Purple Haze claim victory, securing an all-expenses-paid trip to Antigua Sailing Week, set for April 2026. This prestigious win highlighted the growing ties between the Hamptons regatta and Antiguas celebrated sailing culture, further strengthening the island`s global profile as a premier sailing destination. Antigua`s vibrant yachting and marine industry continues to expand, with upcoming events such as the 4th Annual Discover Yachting & Marine Showcase in October, the Antigua Charter Yacht Show in December 2025, and the Caribbean Dinghy Championship in October 2025. The Antigua and Barbuda Marine Association (ABYMA) also unveiled its 2025–2026 calendar, alongside the Caribbean Sailing Association’s new 2026–2030 regatta schedule, promising iconic races, youth engagement, and expanded fleets across the region. Community initiatives remain equally central, from Cherry Hills beach cleanup to youth sailing programs. At the same time, service providers like BWA Yachting Antigua and the A&B Yacht Workers Association ensure top-class marine support. With international competitions such as the World`s Toughest Row and Antigua Classic Yacht Regatta on the horizon, Antigua and Barbuda reaffirms its place as a global hub for sailing, culture, and marine excellence.
