WORLD SWIMMING CHAMPIONSHIPS Friday 18th July 2025

The Antigua and Barbuda Swimming Federation (ABSF) has announced its official delegation of elite athletes set to compete at the prestigious 2025 World Swimming Championships, to be held in Singapore from July 24 to August 1.
Representing the twin-island nation are four standout swimmers known for their dedication, skill, and national pride:

Stefano Mitchell – 50m & 100m Freestyle

Naeem DeSouza – 50m & 100m Butterfly

Aunjelique Liddie – 50m & 100m Freestyle

Bianca Mitchell – 50m Breaststroke & 200m Freestyle
The team will be led by Coach Wayne Mitchell, whose extensive experience is expected to guide the athletes through the challenges of the international stage. Anna Mitchell will serve as Team Manager, ensuring logistical and on-the-ground support throughout the competition.
In addition to the competitive delegation, Edith Clashing will represent the ABSF at the World Swimming Congress on July 29. She is also set to take up an assignment with the World Masters Championships, serving on the World Masters Technical Committee from August 5 to 15.

The ABSF reaffirmed its commitment to developing local talent and promoting excellence in aquatic sports. This appearance at the World Championships marks another important step in elevating Antigua and Barbuda’s profile on the global swimming stage.
