TEAM ANTIGUA ISLAND GIRLS ARRIVAL & TWAC UPDATE
Tuesday 5th February 2019

In case you missed it – we had another historic event in Antigua when the Team Antigua Island Girls, the first ever all-female, all-black Antiguan team to row the Atlantic, arrived in Antigua on Monday 28th January 2019. After 47 days, 8 hours and 25 minutes, the Team Antigua Island Girls completed the 2018 Talisker Whisky Atlantic Challenge in 13th position.

Their reception was incredible, with hundreds of spectators converging in Nelson’s Dockyard to give a well-deserved hero’s welcome to the team. Watch the live feed of the team crossing the finish line, their arrival dockside, and their on stage welcome.

So far we’ve welcomed 20 of the teams in the 2018 Talisker Whisky Atlantic Challenge, with 7 more still rowing. Next to arrive will be the first solo arrival of the fleet, The Wild Oarsman, with current ETA at 8th February. Track the fleet here, and make an effort to come out to welcome each rower in after a gruelling row.
