Last year AHTA started an auction website www.discoverantiguabarbuda.com where visitors to the site could bid on hotel stays, attractions and other items. For technical reasons the site never really gained any traction and visitation was poor.

However they still believed in the concept and have just relaunched with a more user friendly, visually pleasing website.

They currently have ten items loaded in the auction items and bidding is on-going. They are also looking to their members to partner with them to donate or partially donate hotel stays, tour and attractions or any other items.

Funds generated will be used to enhance the AHTA’s promotional activities which in turn help to promote your business. Ideally they would like you to donate the items but over time they realized that this is not sustainable so would ask that you give them a percentage of the revenue generated ranging from a best case scenario of 100% down to 25%.

Items being auctioned are being heavily promoted via their Facebook page linked to the site. This could be a good avenue to sell unused inventory at slower times of the year.
