Head Chef
Job Brief
Siboney Beach Club is seeking an experienced and qualified Head Chef to direct and manage the kitchen activities of Salt Plage Restaurant & Starfish Beach Bar. The successful candidate must have proven experience as a Head Chef.
Head Chef Duties & Responsibilities
o Control and direct the food preparation process and any other relative activities
o Ensure food safety and quality standards are met
o Develop menus with new or existing culinary creations ensuring the variety and quality of the servings
o Manage all kitchen staff
o Manage kitchen inventory daily
o Plan orders of equipment or ingredients according to identified shortages
o Arrange for kitchen equipment repairs when necessary-
o Remedy any problems or defects
o Be fully in charge of managing and training kitchen staff
o Oversee the work of subordinates
o Maintain records of staff performance
o Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
o Foster a climate of cooperation and respect between co-workers
Qualifications & Skills
o Proven experience as a Head Chef
o Proven experience in menu creation and implementation
o Exceptional proven abllity of kitchen management
o Ability in dividing responsibilities and monitoring progress
o Outstanding communication and leadership skills
o Up-to-date with culinary trends and optimized kitchen processes
o Good understanding of useful computer programs (MS Office, restaurant management software,
Credentials in health and safety training
o Degree in Culinary Science or related certification
