DANIEL “TIMMY” THOMAS NAMED BEST MIXOLOGIST Friday 13th December 2019
Thursday December 12, 2019, St. John’s Antigua and Barbuda: The Antigua and Barbuda Hotels and Tourism Association placed the call out to find Mixologists to compete in its inaugural Taste of Wadadli Mixology Competition.
Nine (9) Mixologists were challenged to present a unique cocktail using guava as the star ingredient. Facing the Judges in Round 1 were: Auslando Davis - Curtain Bluff Resort & Spa; Khari Shaw – ABHTI; Errol Rose - Starfish Halcyon Cove. Round 2: Orane Gordon - Hermitage Bay; David Richards - Siboney Beach Club (Salt Plage Restaurant); Altino Spencer - Cocobay Resort. Round 3: Anthony Robertson - Hermitage Bay; Daniel Timmy Thomas - Timmy Time Cocktails; Tiffan Spencer - Hodges Bay Resort & Spa
Winning Round 1 was Auslando Davis, while Altino Spencer captured Round 2 and Daniel Timmy Thomas Round 3.
Sweeping the competition with a winning cocktail named Local Guava Ice n’ Cream – with a fusion of coconut cream, rum and guava was Daniel “Timmy” Thomas of Timmy Time Cocktails. Daniel walked away with a weekend for two at Carlisle Bay Resort, a Taste of Wadadli Mixer and a gift package from Eat me Gourmet.

The live competition was sponsored by A S Bryden and judged by Resident Manager at Starfish Jolly Beach Resort & Spa, Alex Browne, Food and Beverage Coordinator at Royalton Antigua, Dale Thomas and hosts Patrice Martin and Steve “Ibis” Freeland.
