Housekeeping Supervisor
Job Summary:
Oversee an exceptional housekeeping team and ensure the highest standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
• Supervise and coordinate the daily operations of the housekeeping department, including room cleaning, laundry, and public area maintenance.
• - Train, mentor, and provide guidance to housekeeping staff to ensure efficient and thorough cleaning practices.
• Inspect guest rooms and public areas to maintain cleanliness, organization, and compliance with hotel standards.
• Manage inventory of cleaning supplies, amenities, and linens to meet guest needs while controlling costs.
• Collaborate with the maintenance and front office and other departmental teams to address guest requests, maintenance issues, and room readiness.
• Uphold and enforce safety and hygiene standards to provide a clean and healthy environment for guests and staff.
• Assist in scheduling, coaching, counselling, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions when necessary.
• Implement and maintain environmentally friendly practices in housekeeping operations.
Our ideal candidate must possess:
• Proven experience in a supervisory role within a housekeeping or related department.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a cohesive team.
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities to prioritize tasks effectively.
• In-depth knowledge of cleaning techniques, sanitation standards, and proper use of cleaning equipment and chemicals.
• Familiarity with inventory management and control procedures.
Proficieney in using relevant computer software and applications.
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
Secondary School diploma or equivalent; relevant certification or training in housekeeping supervision/management is a plus.
