Camp Grow Coordinator Needed

The EAG and the Gilbert's Agricultural and Rural Development Centre seek a Coordinator for Camp GROW 2013. Details can be obtained from the EAG website . Resume and CV should be submitted to
admin@gardc.org by 15th February, 2013.

Forest on Stones on BBC's Saving Species

With the help of a few EAG members and friends, natural history writer Michael Scott visited Antigua's Forest on Stones in 2012 to explore and interview persons who could give insight on the history and importance of the area. His report has been filed with the BBC and is expected to air on the Saving Species programme just after 1100hrs UK time on Tuesday 12th February (7am Antigua time), and will be repeated at 2100hrs (5pm Antigua time) on Thursday 14th February. You should be able to listen to the programme live via the "listen now" link on the "Saving Species" website at http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b010x8sq but, after the programme is broadcast, a link goes onto the website for the recorded programme, so you should be able to listen anytime after it first goes out.

ECAB GREEN INITIATIVE

Eastern Caribbean Amalgamated Bank (ECAB) is attempting to reduce paper usage through its 'Go Green, Go eStatements' initiative. If you are an ECAB customer, choose to switch from receiving paper statements to receiving electronic statements. For each customer that does this before 31st January, 2013, ECAB will donate $1 to EAG's summer Camp GROW.

EAG 2013 CALENDARS

For the second consecutive year, the EAG has published a Wildlife of Antigua & Barbuda’s Offshore Islands 2013 calendar. The calendars are now available at the EAG office so send us an email if you wish to make a donation to get your own copies or stop by the EAG office from 8am to 12pm, Monday to Friday. Calendars are also available at other outlets around Antigua, including On Deck in English Harbour and Budget Marine in Jolly Harbour.

VOLUNTEER--TRAIL MAINTENANCE

Do you have a weed whacker? The EAG is always looking for volunteers. If you are interested in helping with trail maintenance please contact us so that we can put a team together. Our main needs are in Christian Valley and in the Body Ponds. We have a few weed whackers available so if you don't have one of your own but know how to use it, do still contact us. Your help would be very welcome.

EAG's 2013 Field Trips
