The Big Banana Group is pleased to announce some very exciting news about its Club 17 61 Lounge located at the V.C. Bird International Airport.
 
We have recently completed negotiations with the Antigua & Barbuda Airport Authority to redevelop and expand the Club 17 61  and to take the lounge to the airside of the terminal. In addition to a complete redevelopment and upgrade, this means entry to the lounge will take place after passengers have completed Emigration and Security clearance. Upon departure, passengers will simply exit the lounge and go to their gate for immediate boarding.

The 17 61 Lounge on the first floor (upstairs) is being re-developed into an enclave created for the comfort and relaxation of discerning passengers making the wait prior to flight departure “their last moment of pleasure”. The redeveloped facility will be larger and offer vastly improved and enhanced service and amenities.

The lounge will be expanded to occupy it’s present space, plus an additional area totalling 1,800 sq. ft. Access to the lounge will now be gained airside on the first floor, from within the secure departure area.

The facility, open 7 days a week 11:00am until 22:00pm will feature a contemporary design scheme with upmarket furniture, fixtures, and accessories. The new layout will feature a split level lounge area, bar, buffet, computers for internet access, and separate male and female bathrooms. A dedicated Concierge is available to attend to all your requests and needs. In addition the Lounge will be staffed with a bartender and server to provide maximum in passenger service and convenience. The facility is being conceived to cater to and deliver passengers’ desires for comfort and relaxation. An exciting variety of complimentary drinks, refreshments and hors d’oeuvres will be available, as well as an assortment of publications and television.
