FABULOUS STAY AT ST. JAMES CLUB - SUPER VACATION!
Wednesday 3rd July 2013

Tripadvisor.com allows travelers to review where they stayed, dined, and what they got up to on their vacation. Here's a great review from one enthused lady who enjoyed a stay at St. James's Club.

"Fabulous Stay at St. James Club - Super Vacation!" -- Reviewed June 26, 2013

Our Group of 8 visited this lovely resort in May 2013 to celebrate a 25th Wedding Anniversary.

We all had rooms on the first floor, not far from the front desk, it was wonderful. In total we had 3 rooms, and everyone was happy with their rooms, they were clean and spacious, exactly what we had hoped for.

Ours was wicker furniture while our relatives had a modern dark wood. We had a coffee maker in our room, as well as a hair dryer, no need to take your own. We have been on many vacations, but none like the Service we received at this resort, it was magnificent.

There is a gentleman by the name of Jeff that walks around the resort and mingles with everyone to make sure they are happy and having a good time. He is a kind and very nice person to be aquainted with. The food at the buffet was very good--you just have to eat from the Buffet or order from the menu.

We couldn't find oatmeal, which we like a lot, but if you order it, they will have it ready for you the next day for breakfast. All meals at all restaurants were fresh and delicious, as well as well presented. The Mahi Mahi fish was just so fresh and delicious, we ate a lot of it. Drinks were very flavorful and not watered down.

Some of us joined in at the water arobics every day, headed by "SHANON" who had a great and bubbly personality. We needed someone like him to get us going in the morning. We felt so much better after our water arobics, thank you Shanon - The water is our enemy but you are our friend. Thank you for such a great time.

We stayed at our resort most of the time, as we wanted to enjoy the great beach and pool. We did take a cab ride to a small market about 15 minutes away where we bought some fresh natural sugar.

One thing you have to be careful with is the hot sun in Antigua, make sure you always wear Suntan Lotion from day one. Two of us got burned the first day, so excited to run into the beach water. The sun goes into the ocean and you still get burned, so wear your sunscreen.

For the special Anniversary, we dined at the Piccolo Mondo, which was very classy and beautiful. Also want to mention the famous Alfred on the beach, who served us our drinks. He was just so friendly--thank you for the nice cold drinks. All in all this trip was amazing, all of us loved the food, never got sick. We sure miss you St. James Club and hope to go back soon - Regards from all 8 of us!!!
