GROWN & SEXY IS BACK
Wednesday 8th June 2016

Grown and Sexy are back in Antigua for their 5th annual holiday party and are bigger than ever! They are bringing a group of 120 people from mainly the UK to experience Antigua’s delights.  This annual trip has now trebled in size with many people returning back year after year.

The excursion organized by DJ Dave VJ (whose parents originate from Liberta) and Tracy Austin includes beach parties, themed party nights, with 8 DJs flying over from the UK, USA and Grenada, along with a trip to Shirley Heights, beach horse riding, a quiz and a catamaran boat party climaxing on the finale on Saturday, June 18th at Sugar Ridge for a Gold & Silver party.

They choose this particular time of the year to bring the group as generally it is slow season in Antigua and they arrange self catering accommodation to encourage their guests to come out and experience local restaurants and inject much needed money into the local community.  Last time they estimated US$250,000 was spent in Antigua during their stay, and with a bigger group this year, this is sure to increase.

On Saturday, June 11th they have arranged a Hawaiian Beach Party at Dennis Bar in Ffryes Beach in aid of St. John's Hospice and invite locals to come along, meet the UK group, have a great day out and support a worthwhile cause.  It’s a big people’s party with the average age being over 35, with music influenced from 80’s soul, disco, R&B, reggae and a splash of soca.  Advance tickets are EC$25 or a contribution at the door.

They also like to give back to the island by asking everybody traveling to bring a children’s book with them which will be donated to a local project to establish a mobile library for all children in Antigua to enjoy, in association with Janda Bailey and organised by Kanika Simpson-Davies.  Dave and Tracy say “Just 1 book each is such a small thing to ask people to bring, but if you put them together that’s at least 120 books which will set up a small library and encourage literacy amongst the children in Antigua”.

With 10 days of activities the group will be partying their way around Antigua.  Head out and join them at some of their events:
