WHAT'S ON

It's that time of year--the yachting events are done and the weather is turning hot and sticky. And that's when some of the restaurants and entertainment spots, particularly in English Harbour, say goodbye to their patrons for the summer and look forward to returning in the fall.

To find out whether your favorite spot is going to be open this summer, check out our latest list of closings below as well as our Opening Times chart.  But don't worry, they will be back again in the fall, well rested and ready to reach new culinary heights for their loyal fans. 

Among those that have closed or will be closing shortly:

Abracadabra – now closed until early August
Admiral’s Inn – closing June 9, reopening in early October
Cambusa Italian Restaurant – now closed until early November
Catherine’s Café Plage – now closed until sometime in the fall
Cecilia’s – closed from June 30 to September 1
Cloggy’s at the Antigua Yacht Club – closing May 25, reopening in a new location in the fall
Hamilton’s Wine Bar & Bistro – closing at end of June, reopening in the fall at a date to be announced
Harmony Hall Antigua – now closed, reopening in November
HotHotHotSpot – now closed, reopening December 1
La Tartaruga – closing in August
Mad Mongoose – now closed, opening October 1
Sun Ra – now closed, opening November 1
The Tides – closing from July 27 to October 15

Others are going through some changes for the summer. For example, Ristoranti Paparazzi is currently closed and will reopen on June 6 with modified times, opening from Thursday through Sunday with dinner only, until they take a summer break in August.

Those with modified schedules include D-Boat Antigua, closing on Mondays and Tuesdays during the summer, and The Custard Apple, opening four days a week.

While this narrows the choices a bit, there are still quite a number of restaurants open and ready to do business with some interesting evenings planned. Check them out in our Restaurants section, as well as take a look at their specials and entertainment in the What's On Calendar.
