AMERICA’S CUP TROPHY, ACCOMMODATIONS AND WHAT’S HOT THIS WEEK… Friday 28th March 2014
In this week's What's On newsletter, we are happy to report that the America’s Cup Trophy, the oldest sports trophy in the world, is going to be coming to Antigua during Sailing Week. This was arranged by Antiguan sailor Shannon Falcone, crew member on the Oracle racing yacht that won the cup in 2013 in a crazy, come-from-behind win that astonished the world. The trophy has its own schedule of appearances, and will be in several locations during the week.
The weekend brings an array of activities, from hikes, hunting lionfish and betting on horseracing to parties and March Madness basketball.
For those planning on coming to Antigua for the Classic Yacht Regatta or Sailing Week, there are a number of villas and hotels offering last–minute accommodation choices—some with special pricing.
Be sure to check back, and especially the What's On listings, during the week for more updates. It's going to be a great week, so go out and have some fun.
