Thursday 21st June - Lectures and Educational Programs by Doctors at Mount St. John’s Medical Center.
Friday 22nd June - Cocktail Fundraiser [Venue: Sugar Ridge Hotel]
Saturday 23rd June - Walk for Sickle Cell, [Cake/Drinks on sale.] {Start: Judgment Square, up Market Street, up Newgate Street, on to Independence Avenue, down Vivian Richards Street, on to Market Street, back to Judgment Square. Refreshments would be on sale.
Ongoing registration for Sickle Cell Walk. Fee: $5.00
Register at Methodist Book Shop, St. Mary’s Street and Best of Books, Friars Hill Road.
Sickle cell briefing:
The Antigua/Barbuda sickle Cell Association is a body of 40 members including persons with and without Sickle Cell Disease. Among the organization’s objectives are the following: collect, coordinate, and disseminate medical scientific data, statistics and information as to the prevalence, causation, distribution and treatment relevant to Sickle cell Disorders. The Association meets the third Thursday of each month at the sickle Cell Office in the Rehab Unit at Holberton.
