Expressions: Poetry In the Pub Season 3 promises to keep you busy with excitement and creativity. August Rush Productions reconvenes its popular and successful open mic night on Tuesday 13 th September at 8 pm at the Heavenly Java 2 Go, located on the boardwalk of Redcliffe Quay.
For two seasons Expressions has captivated audiences and discovered the amazing talent of spoken word artists, musicians and singers in Antigua and Barbuda. In this installment we promise to continue that tradition by ensuring that we surpass the success of past seasons as new concepts are added to our open mic night. Attendees can expect musical performances, in addition to competition segments that will garner prizes for audiences. One new component is the artist/poet combination that will encompass a sketch artist creating a piece inspired by a poet’s performance that night.
There are high expectations for Expressions Season 3 as new voices will be heard and new topics will be addressed. August Rush is encouraging all poets, musicians, dancers, singers, visual artistes and other performers to come out and be heard.
