ANTIGUAN YOUTH SAILORS AT SCHOELCHER SAILING WEEK Friday 12th February 2016
Five young sailors representing Antigua took part in the 2016 Schoelcher International Sailing Week in Martinique over February 5th – 9th. The team included Rhone Kirby, Vincent Anfi, Rocco Falcone, River Andrews and Giles de Jager, accompanied by Coach Karl James, and the young sailors took on 12 races over 4 days, each performing well in their classes.
In the Laser Radial Class, Rhone Kirby took 5th place with Vincent Anfi finishing in 10th place overall. Rocco Falcone won 2nd place in the Laser 4.7 class among 12 competitors and in the Optimist class, River Andrews took 8th place and Giles de Jager won 18th place in a fleet of 40 sailors.
