Things are looking good for the two new Kids on the block in Antigua's one day races this year. Right in between Valentine’s and the Jolly Harbour Valentine’s Regatta and the start of the most impressive fleet of race boats to hit the Caribbean in the year, the RORC Caribbean 600, are two new races, the Round Redonda Race and the Antigua 360.
Taking place on the 16th and 20th February, as their names suggest, they are both round the island race. The difference with the Antigua 360 is that it's right before the RORC Caribbean 600 eligibility will be decided as per the 600 and only boats entering the 600 will race. Expressions of interest are already in from record breaking trimaran Phaedo along with Concise, two TP-52’s, two Maxi- 72’s, Tonnerre de Breskens, Bella Donna and La Bete (Rambler 90). So the line-up will make for some interesting times. Phaedo has also signed on for the Round Redonda Race and bound to deliver a fast time.
