MAURICE UNDERWATER SERVICES SUPPORTS CHARITIES Sunday 15th February 2015
Maurice Underwater Services started a successful brain child charity program for Antigua's SUNSHINE HOME FOR GIRLS and THE BOYS TRAINING SCHOOL and has made numerous donations of personal goods donated by yachts in Antigua. He recently made a personal visit to the boys' home to hand over more goods, accompanied by his wife Adelia and, photographer Ted Martin and Senator Colin James. During the visit, donations were made and some good quality time was spent with the boys listening to why they had been convicted and the treatment received by them at the home.
The charity program has requested that the boys be taught trades to assist them with getting their lives back on track when they are released and to perhaps even pay them a small amount for their work to boost their personal esteem. Other areas of concern include the use of confinement as punishment and that basic human rights be respected.
Maurice Underwater Services has offered for one of the boys to work with them to open up opportunities on the road to rehab.
The assistance of everyone in the yachting community is requested through the donations of goods that would be useful to both the Sunshine Home for Girls and The Boys Training School. Donations can be dropped off at Maurice Underwater Services at Antigua Yacht Club Marina, or call 'Blue Crystal International on VHF 68/16 to make arrangements for the goods to be picked up. All donations are welcome including used clothing, shoes, books, food, etc.
Maurice Underwater Services thanks you for your charitable assistance.
