SEARCH FOR CHEEKI RAFIKI CREW ENDED Thursday 29th May 2014

Antigua Sailing Week and indeed all of us in the Antiguan yachting community are very saddened by the loss of the Cheeki Rafiki crew on the journey across the Atlantic following Antigua Sailing Week 2014. The crew of four included: skipper Andrew Bridge, 22, from Farnham, Surrey; James Male, 22, from Romsey, Hampshire; Paul Goslin, 56, from West Camel; and Steve Warren, 52, from Bridgwater.
Boat owner, Stormforce Coaching, lost contact with the boat in the early hours of Friday, May 16 and the upturned hull was finally found by the US Coastguard following an extensive search on Friday, May 23. The keel had separated from the hull and the life raft was still on board with no sign of the crew.
We are deeply saddened by this tragic loss of life and our thoughts are with the families and friends of the sailors at this very difficult time. May all four sailors rest in peace.
