All the pirates from various islands returned again this year including the schooner Scaramouche from Union Island in the Grenadines – one of only 2 original working trading schooners left (Friendship Rose from Bequia is the other one and yes we will invite her here next year!).
The competition was fierce this year with Savvy, Summer Cloud, Zemi, Genesis and with the the new sloop Exodus launched last year and the subject our film “Vanishing Sail” which will be screening at the 2015 St. Barths Film Festival to coincide with the opening night of the Regatta.
The Regatta was won by the Carriacou Sloop Zemi followed closely by Summer Cloud in Second and Savvy in third, with all other vessels being honored for their participation. Captains and crew were thanked by the president of the Collectivite de St.Barth, Bruno Magras for sailing to the event to reconnect our islands.
This years Artisanal Market was a resounding success showcasing products from the region. The highlight of the market was the tree sculptures and organic produce from Dominica arriving on the Nevis built Schooner, Alexander Hamilton.
A BIG thank you to Collectivite de Saint Barthelemy, Port de Gustavia, , Office de Tourism, Club Unesco, Budget Car Rental, SkullDuggery Rum, Alma, Segeco, and all of the people of St. Barth that have again made us all so welcome!
