In last month’s issue of Antigua’s Yachting Insider, we included a story about Antiguan Shannon Falcone and his participation in the 34th America’s Cup with the defending team, Oracle Team USA.

As most of the world knows (or at least most of the sailing world!), Oracle Team USA made a remarkable comeback from an 8-1 deficit to win the 34th America’s Cup on Wednesday, September 25th.  Shannon Falcone is a key member of Oracle Team USA and was on board for all 19 races!

We wish to extend our congratulations to Shannon Falcone and all of Oracle Team USA on their incredible achievements.  Even being down 8 points to 1, they never got discouraged and never gave up.  There’s no doubt that Shannon is a fantastic role model for his younger brothers who are also sailors and for all aspiring youth sailors in Antigua and around the world!
