CHRISTMAS CARIBBEAN RALLY WELCOMES FIRST ITALIAN ENTRY Tuesday 2nd July 2013
The Sailing Rallies team is pleased to welcome another nationality to the CCR fleet – the first Italian boat has entered, once again showing the event is a truly global affair. The team has been working hard to ensure that the atmosphere for the participants on both sides of the pond will be outstanding and rival any other rally experience. Marina Rubicon in Lanzarote and Jolly Harbour Marina in Antigua are fully behind the CCR and are working closely with the organisers to help make this happen. John Simpson, Director of Sailing Rallies, comments “At the end of the day the CCR is all about the participants and their experiences. Crossing the Atlantic is for some, a real bucket list adventure and we want to add even more value to that, make the experience as special as possible and help create memories that will be cherished for life.”
The CCR starts from Marina Rubicon, Lanzarote on 16th December and finishes in Jolly Harbour, Antigua around New Year, just in time to kick off the Caribbean winter sailing season – and there’s no better place to start from than Antigua. There are still places available, so anyone wanting to take part can call +44 845 257 5004 or email info@sailingrallies.com for more information.
The Sailing Rallies team is currently sailing and exploring the Baltic, setting the foundations for its new Baltic 4 Nations Rally to be launched at the Southampton Boat show (13 – 22nd September 2013). Anyone wanting to meet the team in person, to discuss the CCR or the Baltic 4 Nations, should head to stand JO63 in Mayflower Hall.
