On January 14, 2013, www.antiguanice.com via its e-newsletter Antigua’s Yachting Insider ran a story about Pete Townshend on behalf of the rock band The Who, donating six Laser Pico dinghies to Antigua’s National Sailing Academy, a charitable organisation designed for the sole purposes of teaching school children to learn to swim and sail for free as part of their regular school curriculum.

The story also mentioned that plans are in the works for a benefit concert to be held in Antigua early in 2014 featuring Pete Townshend and, hopefully, his fellow band member Roger Daltrey.
