HOT OFF THE PRESS: AYI Newsletter Issue # 26 has just been published!! Catch up on Antigua Yachting Insider's 2012 activities as February month draws to an end.

It’s an exciting time here in Antigua and we’ve never been more proud of our youth sailors.  Two juniors went to Fort Lauderdale, Florida in January to participate in the Boomerang Optimist Regatta.  The two sailors raced in separate fleets, each of well over 20 boats, and one finished 2nd while the other finished 3rd in their respective fleets.  The Digicel Challenger youth team participated in Jolly Harbour Yacht Club’s Valentine’s Regatta and not only won their class but were the overall winners of the Regatta.  Congratulations to all and keep up the hard work!  We’re extremely proud of you.

This year’s RORC Caribbean 600 Race was bigger than ever and was such a success that organisers are already making plans for next year’s event.  Leading up to this year’s Race it was planned to turn this into a bi-annual event but on the heels of this year’s great success, it will continue on an annual basis which is fantastic news for Antigua!  You can read all about Race in this issue.
