OLD ROPE AND SAIL CLOTH OR CANVAS NEEDED BY GIRL GUIDES OF ANTIGUA Tuesday 28th February 2012
The Girl Guides of Antigua have announced that "Topiary Joe" has come to Antigua from Tennessee and is creating a topiary sculpture for the Girl Guide Association's World Centenary celebrations. Topiary Joe will be using discarded materials which will be recycled into a beautiful sculpture. The Girl Guides are therefore looking for old and discarded rope and/or sail cloth and canvas.
The sculpture will be created at the Girl Guide headquarters on Dickenson Bay Street. All you sailors out there who have suitable materials that would be useful to Topiary Joe, please contact Sue Sharpe at sharpe@candw.ag who can arrange to have them picked up.
Ashley Rhodes of A & A Rigging has already made a generous donation and we're certain that many of you have lockers full of rope and/or sail cloth that you would love to get rid of! Click here for all News and Specials for AntiguaNice Yachting Insider Newsletter
