The New Year is already shaping up to be an exciting one. While the economy may still be sluggish, it hasn’t stopped the yachting community in Antigua from making the most of the blue waters, ever-present trade winds and the guaranteed heat!
You can read in this issue about December’s happenings including the AYC Hightide Series of races and the ever-popular Nelson’s Pursuit Race held on New Year’s Eve, and we remind you of the upcoming Superyacht Challenge Antigua. We also make an appeal on behalf of Jolly Harbour Yacht Club’s Youth Sailing Program which is in desperate need of the donation of Laser sailing dinghies so they can continue to teach Antigua’s youth to sail. And we are proud to announce that Antigua’s very own Adventure Antigua was voted ‘Best Caribbean Excursions Company’ in the Caribbean Travel & Leisure Readers’ Choice Awards 2011. Congratulations!
There are plenty of activities to look forward to in the coming weeks including sail training, day and term chartering and regattas galore! Antigua’s marine trades businesses are fully geared-up and ready to serve or service whatever your requirements may be.
Best wishes for everything positive in 2012 and please keep sending us your news so we can continue to promote all aspects of yachting in Antigua.
