WHAT HAPPENED TO TITAN 15 AFTER ANTIGUA SAILING WEEK 2011?

The fire on Titan 15 during Antigua Sailing Week 2011 pretty much gutted the boat.  Following Sailing Week, she was strengthened in the hope that she would be able to be moved to the United States.  Then-captain Scott Bradford was unable to find the time and resources to move the boat and she therefore ended up being moved to Crabbs Marina on the north coast of Antigua.  She was purchased from owners Tom and Dotty Hill by their insurance company and her fate is now in the hands of the insurance company.  While no longer associated with the boat, Tom and Dotty were both very saddened by the events as they never had the opportunity to race her as much as they had hoped.

In the meantime, Tom and Dotty are content to race their Classic 'Q' boat known as Falcon and have no immediate plans to build or buy a new race boat. At the New York Yacht Club's Rolex Race Week in Newport held last July, the 52-foot Falcon won the Classics 2 - Spinnaker fleet and won a Rolex timepiece for the best overall performance in the classic division.

Former Captain Scott Bradford has taken a new job as captain on a 62-foot Gunboat and has recently been in Palma Mallorca.  He plans to participate in as many Caribbean regattas as he can because he believes they are truly the best racing he has ever done.
