Antiguan sailor Rocco Falcone and the Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli team secured a thrilling victory in the UniCredit Youth America’s Cup Final, dominating NYYC American Magic in a challenging six-leg race. This achievement showcases Antigua’s growing presence on the global sailing stage. Meanwhile, the island prepares for several major upcoming events, including the 2025 Peters & May Round Antigua Race, the Antigua Classics regatta, and the Caribbean Dinghy Championship in October 2024.
The National Sailing Academy (NSA) continues to nurture young sailing talent with free lessons and its successful summer camp. Additionally, several students earned RYA certifications, further boosting the island’s sailing credentials. Upcoming local events include the Francis Nunes Jr. Fishing Tournament and the 2024 Antigua Charter Yacht Show, while marinas like Jolly Harbour and Falmouth Harbour are gearing up for a busy season. With a packed schedule of regattas and training programs, Antigua remains a vibrant hub for yachting in the Caribbean.
