ST. MAARTEN HEINEKEN REGATTA JUST AROUND THE CORNER Saturday 19th February 2011
The 31st Annual Heineken Regatta is only a week away and everything is coming together for yet another fantastic Serious Fun event! New courses are in store for the sailors, a new CSA dual headsail rating system has been introduced and parties ashore are taking shape with entertainment to include Antigua’s Sir Oungku & Red Hot at the Marigot Party on Saturday night with Superstar Wyclef Jean is lined up for the prize-giving party at Kim Sha Beach on Sunday night.
With the entry list standing at 160 boats at the time of going to press, including several large Swans and big names such as Sojana and Aegir, the regatta promises to be as exciting as ever. A few entries will be heading to St. Maarten after Antigua’s RORC Caribbean 600 Race which started on February 21, and the organizers are very pleased to welcome their participation in the Heineken Regatta.
