TEAM ANTIGUA ON THE PODIUM IN VALENCIA Tuesday 2nd May 2023
Team Antigua & Barbuda has finished their first European regatta in Valencia, Spain, with an impressive 3rd-place finish. The team led the fleet for the first 2 days of racing, but shifty conditions and consistently building breeze made for a challenging regatta.
The team is thrilled to have represented Antigua & Barbuda in Valencia and is proud to have made it onto the podium in their first European regatta. Their joint skills and strategic planning allowed them to remain in contention throughout each of the 19 races in the regatta.
"We are very proud of what we have accomplished here in Valencia," said Skipper, Rocco Falcone. "The competition was tough, but we were able to stay focused and make the right calls to take a podium position. I would also like to thank our main sponsors Antigua & Barbuda's Ministry of Tourism, Locman Italy, and Antigua Yacht Club Marina Resort for their support"
Their 3rd place finish marks yet another podium finish for Team Antigua & Barbuda, who has consistently placed highly in previous regattas. The team's dedication and hard work continue to pay off, and they are now well-positioned to continue their success in the 69F class.
