ANTIGUANICE YACHTING INSIDER ISSUE 205 Wednesday 1st March 2023
The 14th RORC CAribbean 600 ended with many people heralding it as the “best ever” and who can argue with that? Antigua’s young sailors shone brightly, breaking records and representing Antigua to great acclaim. Tiger Tyson broke the round-the-island record, previously held by the fast trimaran Phaedo - on a kite board! Emily Galliard became the youngest person to compete in the race. Go Antigua!
Next it’s the turn of the superyachts as the Superyacht Challenge starts in March 6th for five days of exciting racing. This year, there’s even a Dinghy Edition! There’s more coming up, of course, Sailability Super Sunday, Classics Regatta (make sure you register), not to mention Antigua Sailing Week. No time to do more than draw breath before the next event. As we think ahead to ASW, Harper’s annual ASW School Arts Competition for 2023 under the theme “Society, Coral reefs, the Sea and You”.
Don’t miss out, full updates on regattas this season, wrap reports, local news, plus yachts available for sale locally are in the latest AntiguaNice Yachting Insider Issue, here.
