TIGER TYSON LANDS 4TH AT OPEN WORLDS
Friday 3rd August 2018

Antigua’s Tiger Tyson took 4th place against 59 men and Under19 competitors in the recent TT:R Open World Championships in Italy, over 24 – 29 July.

With Tiger heading to the Youth Olympic Games in October in Argentina, his chances of earning an Olympic medal are high provided all goes well.

Consistently high placing and positive results at competitions and Olympic Qualifiers over the last year give the young athlete a good chance of medaling during the games. In this competition, the athletes placing 1st to 3rd above Tiger are those he has previously beaten in the Olympic Qualifying Competitions. Additionally, competitor Lorenzo Calcano will not be in the Youth Olympics as he did not qualify.

Tiger will continue training abroad before heading back home to Antigua for school in September. In October he goes to Argentina to begin his bid in the Youth Olympic Games.
