WE WANT YOU TO STAY Wednesday 6th December 2017
In a week that sees the yachting industry worldwide descend on Antigua for the Antigua Yacht Show its always a great time to take stock of how Antigua is doing and what we have to offer to our visitors. In 2017 the advent of hurricanes in the region has slightly changed the dynamic for the first part of the season and with that, additional boats are on the docks in Antigua that wouldn’t normally be.

If you are new to Antigua or haven’t been for some years we hope that you like what you see as we’d love you to stay! Even if just for this season before you return to your normal itineraries. But with that said as industry stakeholders have rolled out their marketing plans this year including boat shows in Monaco, Florida, Southampton and more to come, a crystalising thuoght is that our jewels still remain somewhat hidden. As a destination we are well known for the Boat Show, the RORC Caribbean 600, Antigua Classic Yacht Regatta, the Superyacht Challenge Antigua and Antigua Sailing Week. And let’s not forget the many fun one day races such as the upcoming Nelson’s Pursuit, the High Tide Series, the many Round Antigua Races, Sport Fishing Tournaments and fun days such as the Wobbly Club that it has become apparent that in sending that message we have missed telling people about our cruising grounds.
We often find that the superyacht market has a tendency to start charters in Antigua. Guests arrive, get on board and within 24 hours they are on their first leg of their journey to other islands leaving our stunning anchorages in their wake and as a missed opportunity for all on board. Whether Green Island, Bird Island, Five Islands, Nonsuch Bay, Carlisle Bay or of course the gorgeous and totally deserted beaches and waters of Barbuda, there are some truly incredible places to drop anchor and dive in. With improved provisioning options, excellent dining and agents ready to cater to your ever need we invite you to give a thought to including Antigua on your itinerary. Whether you are a superyacht or a group of friends heading to the Caribbean on a bareboat charter we’d love you to stay.......
