COURTNEY WALSH APPOINTED WINDIES U 19 TEAM MANAGER; KRAIGG BRATHWAITE CAPTAINS FOR TOUR OF USA Wednesday 6th July 2011
St John’s, Antigua – Legendary former West Indies and Jamaica captain and former world record holder for most wickets in Test cricket Courtney Walsh has been appointed Team Manager for the West Indies Under 19 Team’s tour of the United States of America starting July 8th.
Walsh will manage the squad which is coached by Roddy Estwick. Former West Indies opener Stuart Williams is the Assistant Coach.
Test batsman Kraigg Brathwaite will lead the 14 man squad on the 4 match tour.
The West Indies team will depart the Caribbean on July 6th and return on July 16th after having played four 50 over games against the USA Under 19 team at the Broward County Cricket Stadium in Luaderhill, Florida.
