KOREA OPENS ARMS TO A&B SCHOLARS Tuesday 10th July 2012
Antiguan and Barbudan students may soon be afforded the opportunity to pursue tertiary level education in the Republic of Korea. This assurance came from the Korean Ambassador to Antigua and Barbuda, His Excellency Park Dong-sil during a formal meeting with the Prime Minister Baldwin Spencer recently.
The ambassador disclosed that efforts will be made to obtain scholarships for young Antiguans and Barbudans to pursue studies in his country. Ambassador Park Dong-sil also announced that future short term training opportunities will be available for Antiguans and Barbudans in the areas of agriculture, industry and energy, education, health governance, forestry and fisheries.
PM Spencer expressed gratitude for the offers made by the Korean Ambassador and said that Antigua and Barbuda recognises the importance of co-operation between the two countries and cherishes the bilateral relationship which exists, while exploring other ways at deepening the bilateral ties.
